J4J.org logo JOURNEY 4 JOSH (J4J) came out of the tragic murder of 19 year old Joshua Proutey, on December 13, 2012. Joshua was killed walking to his car after work in Wilmington. His mother, Patty Proutey, started the organization with a desire to honor her son’s memory by providing opportunities to other children in their future journeys, although Joshua’s journey was cut short.

Her goal is to provide enrichment programs in the performing arts and sports to children in families who can’t afford these activities.

THE PLAN

We will aggressively seek out children at risk and in need of the safety net we offer through participation in activities otherwise not affordable to them.
We will give our children our best and encourage them to do the same.
We will never lose sight of the significance of “ONE.”
One more child reached. One more life changed. One more dream realized.
We will generously give back to those we partner with in our community.

J4J believes that these opportunities can be a game changer for the future of vulnerable children. J4J offer programs to help youth mature into adults who contribute to society

J4J is a new organization that will provide high-level opportunities in these areas: Art, dance, acting, theater production, music, voice, sports as well as summer camps.
