Including handmade paper\, hand-sewn embroidery\, botanically printed textiles\, explore unique path each artist has forged within the often-overlooked world of fiber art. \nSAVE THE DATE! Join us in the gallery on Sunday\, April 27th\, from 2-5pm. Enjoy special refreshments\, meet our artists\, and enjoy live music by violinist\, Shirley Lebo! In addition\, we feature continuously rotating art featuring 30+ of Art in Bloom Gallery’s Artists! \nAbout the Artists\nFritzi Huber\, a current artist at ACME Art Studios\, has been making handmade paper\, and teaching workshops across the US for more than 45 Years. Her work has been exhibited and collected nationally\, as well as internationally. \nGuest artist\, Leslie Marsh\, comes from a long line of women who draw with needle and thread. She learned traditional handwork from her grandmother as a child and has been building on those conventional roots ever since. Leslie’s work is held in private collections across the Americas\, Europe and Australia. She teaches workshops in her Hampstead home studio and at various sites across the US. \nRebecca Yeomans has lived her entire life centered around making. She learned to knit at eight years old and was considered the “class artist” in school. Rebecca and her husband Tom moved to Wilmington\, NC in 1984 and she worked as a scenic artist in the film industry. Her current work combines botanical printing\, knitting\, and stitching with a painterly feel. \nGallery events are always free and open to the public. On view along with these exhibits\, Art in Bloom Gallery showcases a plethora of fine art by over 30 local artists.
