SUMMARY:TACT Auditions: Wizard of Oz
DESCRIPTION:Thalian Association Community Theatre will hold auditions for their annual Azalea Festival Show\, The Wizard of Oz\, on February 16 and 17 at 7 pm. Auditions will be held at the Community Arts Center\, 120 S. 2nd Street in downtown Wilmington. The production\, directed by Sam Chappell\, runs April 10 through April 19 at Thalian Hall. \nPlease prepare 30 seconds (16 bars) of a musical theatre song to sing during the audition. \nYou may bring sheet music if you prefer\, but it is not mandatory. An accompanist on piano will be provided. \nAudition sign-up will begin January 16th.\nPLEASE CALL 910-251-1788 TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT TIME. \nCallbacks will be February 18 at the Community Arts Center. Please be prepared to read from a provided script and sing from the show.\nActors of all ethnicities are welcome and encouraged to audition for our entire season! \nSynopsis:\nFollow the yellow brick road in this delightful stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale\, featuring the iconic musical score from the MGM film. The timeless tale\, in which young Dorothy Gale travels from Kansas over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz\, continues to thrill audiences worldwide.
