Under his leadership\, the orchestra won the Downbeat Magazine Readers Poll as the #1 Jazz Orchestra in the world for 2018\, and their 2018 recording\, All About That Basie\, featuring special guest Stevie Wonder\, was nominated for a Grammy for Best Large Jazz Ensemble. Co-founded by Spolin’s son Paul Sills\, Howard Alk\, and Bernie Sahlins\, it quickly became the most influential comedy empire in the world\, fostering generations of superstars.
