Coastal Horizons will welcome two-time NBA champion, bestselling author and reality television personality Lamar Odom as the keynote speaker for its Annual Fundraising Luncheon, Still Here: Lamar Odom on Survival, Recovery and Second Chances. The luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, at the Wilmington Convention Center.
Odom, who starred alongside his former wife Khloé Kardashian in the reality series Khloé & Lamar, recently shared an unfiltered account of his life in the Netflix documentary Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom. In a candid conversation with WECT anchor and managing editor Frances Weller, Odom will reflect on his professional success, profound personal loss, substance use, near-fatal medical crisis and continuing journey of recovery. His experiences demonstrate that recovery is rarely a straight path but one shaped by setbacks, perseverance, support and repeated opportunities to begin again.
