For more than a decade, the Arts Council of Wilmington & New Hanover County has served as a cornerstone of southeastern North Carolina’s cultural ecosystem. For the past 14 years, we have supported artists, arts organizations, and audiences through innovative public-private partnerships that create jobs, stimulate commerce, and elevate Wilmington as a vibrant arts destination.

Through programs such as Fourth Friday Gallery Nights, the Pedestrian Art public sculpture program, ACES Gallery, The Wilmington Theater Awards, and the Wilmington Rail Trail, the Arts Council invests directly in creative talent, activates public spaces, and ensures that arts and culture remain accessible to all. These initiatives strengthen community identity, fuel economic vitality, and enrich quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
