The UNCW Choirs will present a concert featuring works by Judith Weir, Herbert Howells, William Byrd, and Benjamin Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb. Britten’s quirky and striking cantata is set to the text of eighteenth-century poet Christopher Smart, who was “deeply religious, but of a strange and unbalanced mind.” The UNCW Choirs are conducted by Aaron Peisner, and the concert will feature First Presbyterian’s own John Tabler on the organ.
