Brownlee will perform a newly conceived program, Rising, a song cycle that sets texts by Harlem Renaissance Black writers to music. Our venue, UNCW’s Beckwith Recital Hall, is the perfect setting for this intimate concert, thanks to its fabulous acoustics. Our lucky ticket-holders will experience not only Brownlee’s artistic mastery but also his personal warmth and engagement with his audience. And a post-concert VIP reception, with limited capacity, will enable concert-goers to meet and talk with the singer.
