The Wilmington Symphony Youth Orchestras (WSYO) was founded 21 years ago and is now under the direction of conductors, Linda Estep (Youth Orchestra) and Lisa Gattuso (Rockestra/Junior Strings). WSYO ensembles meet weekly during the school year and present 3 concerts during the season in Kenan Auditorium UNCW. The WSYO ensembles include the Youth Orchestra (grades 9-12), Rockestra (grades 7-12), and Junior Strings (grades 4-8).
